All 172 Missouri license offices by city

The Missouri Department of Revenue keeps a license office locator whose map and list come from the department's own license office dataset on data.mo.gov, read October 21, 2026, and that dataset is what this list and every office page are built from: address, telephone, the week, the lunch closing, the contractor and the holiday closings the DOR gives each office.

Every office carries its own telephone number, shown on its page; the DOR's plate renewal line is (573) 751-1957.

The kinds of license offices

Every office on this list is a license office, run by a contractor under a Department of Revenue contract. It issues driver licenses, permits and nondriver IDs, including REAL ID, to applicants who bring the Highway Patrol's test results, and does the title, registration, plate and renewal work, adding the processing fee the DOR sets, $9 on most transactions.

The examination stations where the knowledge and driving tests are taken belong to the Missouri State Highway Patrol and are on its own station map, not in the DOR dataset; the license office and exam station guide covers both systems.

Hours patterns

Of the 172 license offices, 172 have published hours; 11 open on Saturday and 167 open on Monday.

Hours in Missouri are set office by office, because each license office is its own contractor; the DOR dataset gives most a Monday to Friday week between 8 am and 5 pm, many a lunch closing, and some a last Saturday or last business day of the month. The page for each office carries its day table and the DOR's note.

Appointments and walk-ins

The DOR publishes no appointment system for license offices: a visit is a walk-in during the office's week. Plate renewals are done online through the DOR's renewal portal, by mail, or by telephone on (573) 751-1957 at the offices on the DOR's phone-in list; a CDL skills test is by appointment with the Highway Patrol.

Holiday closings

The DOR publishes no single holiday list; its dataset gives each office its own holiday closing dates, read October 21, 2026, and each office page names them. Most offices list the state holidays from New Year's Day to Christmas Day, some add Lincoln's Birthday, Truman's Birthday or Columbus Day, and a few list extra closing dates or part days of their own.
