Appointments are taken for the current day and the next two days on the TxDMV's booking page. At certain locations dealers, title service companies and their runners may book by selecting Motor Vehicle Dealers or Title Companies and Runners as the appointment type; elsewhere they are served as walk-ins or by mail or drop-off, and the TxDMV says some offices limit how many transactions they process for those businesses at one time.
