All 115 Mississippi driver license stations and county tax collectors by city

Mississippi keeps its driver and vehicle counters on two official lists, both read October 22, 2026 and both behind this list and every office page. The Department of Public Safety's Driver Service Bureau keeps its 33 driver license stations on its Driver License Locations page, in three districts, each station with its street, its days and hours and a directions link, and one contact number for the whole district, (601) 487-7028.

The Department of Revenue keeps the 82 county tax collectors, the tag offices, on the list of local officials its registration page links, with each office's physical address, telephone and fax and the name of the official, and no hours; 59 of those offices are a tax assessor and collector in one.

The kinds of offices

A driver license station is the Driver Service Bureau's counter: driver licenses, learner's permits, identification cards, the knowledge and eye exams and the motorcycle endorsement, with the DSB recommending an appointment at every one and the Gulfport airport office taking appointments only, for Mississippi duplicates and renewals alone. No tag or title is sold at a station.

A county tax collector registers the vehicles kept in the county, sells and renews the tags, collects the privilege, ad valorem and sales taxes and takes the title application for the DOR, under the DOR's registration page; the DOR's own offices in Biloxi, Clinton, Hattiesburg, Hernando and Meridian register only the interstate trucks over 10,000 pounds and are not on this list, and no station or tax collector gives a driving test, since the DSB's Class R page says none is required for a regular license at this time.

Hours patterns

Of the 115 offices, 33 have published hours; 0 open on Saturday and 33 open on Monday.

Hours in Mississippi split by agency: the DSB gives every one of its 33 stations the same week, Monday to Friday from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, with no Saturday hours anywhere, and the DOR's list gives the 82 county tax collectors no hours at all, so each tax collector page says so rather than carrying a week the DOR did not publish.

Appointments and walk-ins

The Driver Service Bureau highly recommends an appointment at every station, booked at dps.ms.gov/appointment, and takes walk-ins with a request to limit the people per transaction; the Department of Revenue publishes no appointment system for the county tax collectors. A license or ID renews through the state's online renewal every other time when the record qualifies, and a tag renews online in the 45 counties the DOR's online tag renewal page lists, 3 through MV e-Services and 42 on their own websites.

Holiday closings

Neither list carries holiday dates, read October 22, 2026: the DSB's locations page gives the week alone and the DOR's list gives no hours, so no office page here names a closing date an agency did not give.
