Logan County, Oklahoma, has about 54,000 residents (2024 Census Bureau estimate), and arrests there are reported to the FBI by the Logan County Sheriff's Office, three city agencies and one campus agency. An arrest leaves the same records whoever makes it: the arresting agency's report, the record of anyone held at the county jail, and, if the District Attorney files charges, a case in the Logan County District Court. This guide says who keeps each one, what it costs and who may see it, with the arrest counts each agency reported.
This guide covers who makes arrests, how many arrests, booking and the jail, finding an arrest, copies, cities and common questions.

Who Makes Arrests in Logan County
The Logan County Sheriff's Office is the county agency that reports arrests to the FBI for Logan County. It reported 90 arrests for 2025.
Arrests inside three of the county's cities are reported to the FBI by an agency of the city's own, listed here with the Census population and what each reported:
- Guthrie, 11,682 residents: 131 arrests reported for 2025.
- Langston, 1,715 residents: 6 arrests reported for 2023.
- Crescent, 1,386 residents: 2 arrests reported for 2025.
A city on that list is reported separately whether the officers are the city's own or the sheriff's under contract; the FBI's list does not say which.
The Cashion Police Department is listed by the FBI across two counties including Logan County, so its arrests are not broken out for Logan County here.
The FBI's agency list also places one more agency in Logan County: Langston University (campus police).
How Many Arrests Each Agency Reports in Logan County
Each agency reports its arrests to the FBI by month, and the FBI publishes them on the Crime Data Explorer. These are the full-year totals, all offenses, as the FBI held them on October 8, 2026; a year with months missing or not reported is left out.
- Guthrie: 131 for 2025, 196 for 2024, 162 for 2023, 150 for 2022, 182 for 2021 and 141 for 2020.
- Logan County Sheriff's Office: 90 for 2025, 135 for 2024, 185 for 2023, 149 for 2022, 160 for 2021 and 150 for 2020.
- Crescent: 2 for 2025, 12 for 2024, 7 for 2023, 14 for 2022, 22 for 2021 and 27 for 2020.
- Langston: 6 for 2023, 9 for 2022, 9 for 2021, 6 for 2020 and 5 for 2019.
Together, the three agencies with all twelve months of 2025 on file reported 223 arrests that year. The same agencies with both 2025 and 2024 complete reported 223 in 2025 against 343 in 2024, down 35 percent.
Through July 2026, the three agencies with every month so far on file reported 132 arrests, against 144 in the same months of 2025.
Langston reported only part of 2025 (8 months) and is left out of the totals.
Booking: Where People Arrested in Logan County Are Held
A person kept in custody after an arrest in Logan County is held at the county jail, whichever agency made the arrest, apart from the short stay some city departments' own holding cells allow; a person cited and released at the scene is not booked at all. The jail's record of each person held, with the charges, is a public record of the arrest, and the court file takes over from there.
On an average day in 2023 the jail held about 150 people, down from about 180 in 2019. Its rated capacity in 2019, the last year with a capacity figure, was 181 beds, and it ran at 101 percent of it that year. The figures are from the Vera Institute of Justice's Incarceration Trends data.
SearchSystems opened and checked the custody page of the Logan County Sheriff's Office at logancountyso.org/inmate-search.php (page title: Inmate Search | Logan County Sheriff's Office), phone 405-282-4100, which answered when SearchSystems opened it on September 24, 2026.
That page is the place to look for someone who was booked recently; a person cited and released at the scene, or held only a few hours by a city department, will not be on it.
A sentence of more than a year is served in state prison; the Oklahoma Department of Corrections lists its inmates at okoffender.doc.ok.gov.
How to Find Out About an Arrest in Logan County
Whether someone was arrested in Logan County, and what came of it, shows up in three places: the custody page of the Logan County Sheriff's Office described above, for anyone booked into the county jail; OSCN and ODCR, the free online dockets of every Oklahoma district court, which shows whether charges were filed; the District Attorney, which decides whether an arrest becomes a charge (its page is at logancountyok.com/158/District-Attorney, phone 405-282-0655).
Oklahoma is one of the states that lets anyone look up another person's statewide criminal history: anyone can order a name-based criminal history search online, for $15 a search, through the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation. That record shows what agencies reported to the state, which is wider than one county's court index but can lag it.
Getting a Copy of an Arrest Record in Logan County
An arrest report belongs to the agency whose officer wrote it, and that agency releases it, not the court or the jail. Under the Oklahoma Open Records Act the agency must answer promptly; the statute sets no number of days, and it may charge copying at no more than 25 cents a page.

- An arrest in Guthrie, Langston or Crescent: the records unit of the agency that reports for that city; the city guides linked above name each city's records office.
- An arrest by Langston University: the records office of the agency involved.
- A defendant who has been charged gets the report through the case: the District Attorney, 405-282-0655, handles discovery for pending cases.
- Any county record that is not posted: the county records request page SearchSystems verified is at logancountyok.com/264/Records-RequestArchives (page title: Records Request/Archives | Logan County, OK).
- Your own statewide record: the same request described above, for your own name.
