Currituck County is located in the northeastern coast of North Carolina. The County Seat is Currituck and the largest city is Moyock. The land area is 261.85 square miles and there are 89.9 persons per square mile.
90.7% of the population is White, 6.2% is Black or African American, 3.4% is Hispanic or Latino, 0.7% is Asian, 0.5% is American Indian or Alaska Native, 0.1% is Native Hawaiian or Pacific Islander, and 1.9% is two or more races. 85% have a high school degree or higher, and 18.4% have a Bachelor degree or higher.
